Scott Blanchard, Lead Pastor

Scott grew up in Troy, Michigan. In 1999, Scott joined the pastoral staff at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL and served there for 10 years. While on staff, Scott met his wife, Karen, and gave birth to a son, Nate. In 2009, Scott and his family moved to Michigan to start Lakepointe Church.

He has a love for the Detroit sport teams and likes to think he is an awesome golfer (but he’s not!). He prefers Coke over Pepsi; Biggby over Starbucks; and CVS over Walmart.

Scott was also born with an 80% hearing loss and wears hearing aids. However, Scott has not allowed his deafness and his speech impediment to stop him from serving God with his life!

His favorite verse is Philippians 1:6 Scott is always looking for ways to inspire people that God is not finished with them and that He has big plans for their lives! Scott is living proof of what a person can do for God when he allows God to be in control.
