We have survived one of the hottest July’s in Michigan history! At the same time, Lakepointe Church has been on fire! Here are some of the highlights from this past month:

1.  We grew about 15-20% in attendance compared to July 2010.

2.  Nine people became partners of our church, bringing our total partnership to 109.

3.  Several people made the decisions to be baptized in the next few months!

4.  Our staff team is growing. We are excited to have the following staff members and their family!  Brian Leach and his family moved up from Florida to be the Children’s Pastor. Brian is married to Mary and they have 2 girls, Sara (7) and Sam (2).  Michael Harper and his family joined our team as an Addiction and Counseling Pastor. He’ll be leading our church to implement a Christian-based “Drug and Alcohol” recovery program this fall. Michael is married to Allison and have 2 boys, Garrett (2) and Conner (6 months).

5.  In July, we had two great family activities! On Friday, July 2nd, we had a Hot Dog Roast and Firework activity, which we had close to 100 in attendance. On Sunday, July 31st, we had a softball game night between the teenagers and the adults in our church, which we had close to 90 people that showed up!

Pastor Scott
